About ICODE

ICODE Model is a genuine curriculum evaluation model. In this model, parents and students (clients) decide the efficiency of their curriculum via www.myicode.com web site. ICODE is the acronym of the expression of 'Internet and Client Oriented Dynamic Evaluation'. The model can be translated into Turkish as 'İnternet ve Yararlanıcı Yönlendirmeli Dinamik Değerlendirme'.

ICODE model has been developed within the scope of phd thesis in department of Curriculum and Instruction by Fatih Aygören. Assistant Professor Doctor Kemal Oğuz Er (Thesis advisor), Professor Doctor Nevin Saylan and Professor Doctor Şener Büyüköztürk were in thesis monitoring committee. Web design and software support have been given by Tarcan Cantürk.

The model has been obtained by synthesizing the following approaches with internet: Robert Stake's Responsive Evaluation, Michael Scriven's Consumer Oriented Evaluation and Goal Free Evaluation.

ICODE model is based on pragmatist, constructivist, economic, internet-based, having sustainability, holistic, subjective, easy, functional and client-oriented foundations.
